The American Jav Fest Clinic at East Stroudsburg South High School focuses on teaching the javelin. It is open to any and all participants over the age of 11 by the start of clinic.
The 11th annual American JavFest at East Stroudsburg South HS in East Stroudsburg, PA is July 17-19, 2025!

This area used to be known as the “Honeymoon Capital of the World.” Now we know it as the center of the American javelin universe: where athletes come to set their personal best and learn the technique required to reach the pinnacle of the sport!
The JavFest Clinic in 2025 will be instructed by, in alphabetical order by last name:

- Michele Curcio (4X Team USA Throws Coach, Lafayette T&F and CC Head Coach, USTFCCCA Coaching Instructor)
- Ethan Dabbs (2022 USATF National Champion, NACAC Bronze Medalist, 82.92M)
- Sean Furey (Two-time Olympian and Coach at Furey Athletics)
- Jeff Gorski (Former USATF Javelin Chair and UNC Throws Coach, Founder of NSAF Javelin Gold Project and JAVFEST! Oldest…and Wisest Instructor at JavFest)
- Josh Hontz ( 2x NCAA DII All-American, JavFest Veteran and 10+ years coaching high school track & field in NJ and ME)
- Barry Krammes (78.97M PR and two-time Olympic Trials Finalist, East Stroudsburg South HS and Javelin Factory Coach and unofficial mayor of East Stroudsburg)
- Mike Shuey (2021 USA Olympian, 2019 USA WC Team Member, PSU All American)
- Matt Tholis (JavFest Veteran, Coach at Lamar University, ESU School Record Holder)
- Reinhard Van Zyl (Owner/Coach at VZ javelin Club, NCAA All-American, World U18 Champion)
Do NOT be surprised to see many more guest athletes and coaches sharing wisdom at the clinic.
Online registration for this clinic closes on Friday July 18 at 8:59 am provided the clinic has not sold out prior to this date. Registration may be available onsite during the clinic check in on a first come first serve basis.
